Terms & Conditions

Bookings and Confirmations

Bookings are made by request to Mai Dive Australia PTY LTD (MDA).

A quotation together with a ‘terms & conditions’ and ‘acceptance form’ will be supplied to the customer. The customer is required to sign the ‘acceptance form’ to confirm the reservation and pay the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable.

The booking is ONLY CONFIRMED once the ‘signed acceptance form’ has been received along with the deposit payment either by funds transfer or credit card payment to the nominated Australian Bank Account.

The ‘balance amount’ is to be paid in full 6 weeks prior to arrival. If the balance is not paid in full 14 days after the balance date, MDA reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit in full.

Quotation and Packages

MDA provides all customers packaged quotations. Packages offer the best value to customers, but are also bundled packages that cannot be separated, split or transferred. If for any reason customers are unable to attend or complete any packaged activity or service these cannot be refunded from the package.

Customers can elect to purchase accommodation only packages and book activities while at the resort subject to availability.

Package Exclusions

Packages specifically do not include the following:

· Activities & Services not listed in the package

· Bar & Beverage Accounts

. Internet and telephone charges

. International Airfares

· Travel Insurance

· Resort Shop purchases

Pricing & Payments

All Package Pricing is advertised Fijian dollars with Australian Dollar equivalents.

All pricing includes applicable Fiji Government Taxes.

MDA has the right to change its pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect advanced bookings, however MDA reserves the right to impose surcharges to cover increases in, but not limited to the following: Government Action, Currency Exchange Rates or Local Taxes. Where a surcharge is to be applied, customers will be notified as soon as we become aware of the requirement to impose the surcharge.

There are 3 things customers pay for

1. Package Deposit - 20% of package amount excluding domestic flights (paid prior to arrival)

2. Package Balance - balance of package amount (paid prior to arrival)

3. Departure Balance - balance of additional charges incurred while at the resort (paid prior to departure)

NOTE:

1. Deposit and 2. Package Balances are charged in Australian Dollars by Mai Dive Australia Pty Ltd

3. The Departure Balance is paid in Fijian Dollars at the resort to Mai Dive Pty Ltd In Fiji



Customer Cancellations

Customers must notify MDA in writing of any cancellations or change requests. Changing a booking to a lesser number of guests is considered a cancellation.
The 20% deposit is non-refundable.

The balance payment is due only 6 weeks prior to the customer’s arrival. No changes are allowed 6 weeks prior to arrival. If you cancel after paying the balance amount it is also non-refundable.

Note: MDA will always endeavour to find a more favourable solution to customer change and cancellation requests, however we are a small resort and once we take a booking we often have to refuse many other booking requests, so this is why we have the 20% deposit non-refundable and why the balance is only due 6 weeks prior to arrival and once paid is also non-refundable.

Children Policy

Children under 2 FREE

Children 2 to 11 are charged at junior rates

Children 12 and over are charged as adult

Children requiring their own room are considered as adult

We offer child minding services. Your children will be looked after exceptionally well, and given much love, fun and attention. However our staff are not qualified childcare workers, therefore the resort accepts no responsibility for such services.

Travel Insurance

As with all overseas travel, check that your travel insurance is up to date and that you carry necessary insurance documentation with you. MDA strongly recommends that guests take out adequate travel insurance. MDA does not accept responsibility for any events outside of MDAs control, nor for any guest injury, loss or damage to personal goods occurring during the guests stay at the resort.

Diving Policy

1. Divers have to show their certification card before diving and sign diving and boat travel releases.

2. Divers who have logged less than 20 dives in total and/or have not dived in the last 12 months will be required to do scuba review and a shore dive before doing any boat dives. The first day of their dive package will be spent doing this.

3. DIVERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO HAVE CURRENT DIVE ACCIDENT / EVACUATION INSURANCE

A Friendly Reminder

There are no shops, no banks, no ATM machines, and no roads on Ono Island. There are only coastal tracks, villages, schools, trading posts, boats, friendly faces, a few boutique resorts. If you have any special dietary requirements, food allergies or medical conditions, let us know ahead of time or bring any necessary items with you.
